1. Paint up your plain clock, If you're getting bored with the real color of your clock, you can paint it up with your fave color and pattern.
- first you gotta remove the front glass, mine is kinda easy I only have to remove the white cantilever with the help of a screwdriver
and then just simply remove the glass
- take off the pointer and everything you don't want to be painted off
- cover the front picture with paper and secure it with duct tape if you want it to be "save"
- then here comes the fun part, paint it up with any of your favorite color, I choose orange because that's my fave (I know it's weird) I use spraypaint but if you want to use others kind of paint like acrylics maybe that also works well.
- Oh yea, don't forget to spray the surfacer first before you apply the paint, because I was too dumb without adding the surfacer, and the color didn't turns out like what I want, it turned out more like red than orange, because the color of my clock is pink (then I decided to change the color to be black)
2. You can add some sparkles onto it, like glitter or beads, I choose the orange sparkly beads and using mod podge to paste them up
3. And if you're a fangirl or just love to put up some lovely pictures in front of your clock, you can check the instructions below, and make your clock to be your very own style. (bonus: it can be your very own merch too)
- choose a picture that you love to transform to your clock front, you can print the picture out or cut it from some magazines
- I use this method to fits the picure. I crop the picture to be a normal square or whatever, then put it inside the clock front hole, and press the edge. when you take the picture off you'll get the marks, and you just need to cut it with following that marks. Put it back to the whole with some mod-podge
- This is my result (Ignore the fetus Cody Simpson there)
4. You can also change the hour numbers with specific object, I choose the teardrop beads, because I think it'll be cute
- place back the pointer, the glass etc.
- Done!
Before
After
I love the result very much and you might also do it with your own style. Hope you're inspired!
BooBye!
